Kia ora! I’m Merlyn, a Full-Stack Developer with a Master of Information Sciences from Massey University and a strong foundation in IT support and infrastructure. My early career in technical support sharpened my problem-solving skills, built my service-first mindset, and taught me how to deliver clear, practical solutions for users. I now apply these strengths in software development.

I transitioned into development to combine my technical expertise with my passion for creating modern, reliable, and user-friendly applications. My focus is on full-stack development using C# and .NET 6+ with Clean Architecture and Domain-Driven Design (DDD) for the backend, and TypeScript with modern frameworks such as React (transferable to Angular) for the frontend. I work well in Agile environments, collaborate closely with teams, and follow best practices for coding standards, security, and performance optimization.

I am building my skills in cloud platforms such as Azure and gaining familiarity with CI/CD workflows and containerization concepts. Combined with my background in deploying and maintaining systems, this growing knowledge helps me design solutions with a focus on functionality, maintainability, and scalability.
